Naresh Patel

Naresh has been passionate about dentistry for over 25 years, beginning his career in 1998 after studying physiology and completing his dental training in Derbyshire. His first role was as a community dental officer in Nottingham, where he cared for children and adults with special needs – an experience that shaped his compassionate, patient-first approach.

He went on to gain extensive hospital experience in maxillofacial surgery across Nottingham, Derby and Coventry before specialising in orthodontics. Naresh trained at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham and the University of Sheffield, where he also earned a master’s degree in orthodontics. He later completed his consultant training at Portsmouth Hospital, followed by further advanced training at renowned centres including Manchester Children’s Hospital, Great Ormond Street, and clinics in Milan and Toronto.

Naresh has held several senior roles in his career, including Lead Regional Consultant Orthodontist for the West and East Midlands cleft lip and palate services. He’s also been a Consultant Orthodontist, Honorary Lecturer at Bristol and Birmingham Universities, and has lectured nationally and internationally, sharing his expertise with both peers and the next generation of clinicians.

He continues to contribute to the profession as an invited examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and is an active member of the British Dental Association, the British Orthodontic Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the World Federation of Orthodontists. Naresh is also proud to serve as Secretary for the Local Dental Committee for the East Midlands.

Anshu Sood

Specialist Orthodontist

Anshu has been creating confident smiles for over two decades. After qualifying from the University of Sheffield in 1998, she completed her vocational training in Nottinghamshire and gained hospital experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery at United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust.

She then worked at two of London’s most respected institutions – the Eastman Dental Institute and Great Ormond Street Hospital – before returning to Sheffield to complete her specialist orthodontic training, qualifying in 2006.

Since then, Anshu has worked exclusively in specialist orthodontic practice, with a real passion for helping patients feel their best. She even wore braces herself at the age of 33, so she truly understands what the journey is like from a patient’s point of view. She is a qualified Invisalign® provider, a trained facial aesthetics practitioner, and proudly recognised as Nottinghamshire’s premier specialist clear aligner provider.

Professionally, Anshu has held several key roles, including Chair and Secretary of the Orthodontic Specialist Group, and she has served as Director of Clinical Practice and a Trustee on the Board of the British Orthodontic Society. She regularly shares her knowledge as a speaker at the British Dental Association’s FD Careers Day, supporting young dentists as they explore their career paths, and has also spoken for Dental Monitoring and Align.
